Sketchy Avy Danger
Was rewarded for being the first out of the parking lot with three miles of knee deep trail breaking. Overall was a fun day and did not end up continuing to Unicorn and Griff due to massive amounts of windloading (~15 in. during the day). Experienced "whumping", shooting cracks and snow settlement.

Grandparents Favorite Hike
This was my grandparents favorite hike. I was only 16 when I "climbed" this one and I recall them telling me to slow down and enjoy the scenery. I guess that I never did learn 'slowly' appreciate scenery.

good impression
After enduring some really crappy weather on a trip to the northwest, finally high pressure came in, and cleared the skies completely. I was glad I was in Olympic National Park. I really enjoyed the fantastic views. There was still some snow covering up the "trail", but that made it more enjoyable. A nice little spot, even if everyone goes there.

Hurrican Hill, Griff Peak, and Unicorn Peak
A long snowshoe with Robbin and Dave. Unicorn Peak was the most interesting but Hurricane Hill was the highest. I came upon a bear by surprise on the saddle between Giff Peak and Hurricane Hill.

Pretty, oh so pretty!
First time in the area, really quite something with snow even in late June. Definitely a range to head back to for a longer stay. Loved the marmots and deer close up, with some bear sightings farther off.

Nice Wildlife Sightings!
Our friend joined my wife and I for an easy scenic hike, saw mountain beavers, several deer, squirrels and birds. Awesome views of the Olympic Mts and Port Angeles, on a nice day, you can see Victoria and Mt Baker.

Always Enjoyable...
My wife and I have gone to this peak multiple times. We always seem to have an enjoyable time there, with great scenery and an easy walk.

Low Snow Coverage
Telemark skied to the summit and the descended partway down the NW ridge, dropping into the bowl just south of the summit. Hardly any snow on the South side. Overall a great day, but it would be nice if we got a bit more snow.

Fun SnowshoeBeautiful winter day up there. Avalanche danger was pretty high, but not on this little peak. Plenty of cornices but easy to avoid.

Very Nice EarlyArrived about 6:45 Am and had hill to myself. Saw a black bear on way up and down. Too much snow to go beyond to Griff or Unicorn, as I had hoped.
