First stop on Hyalite Ridge traverse
After summiting Hyalite Peak, traversed west around the ridge to Divide Peak and met up with the Squaw Creek trail to make a loop out of it. Some challenging terrain, but the scenery was more than worth it. Beautiful area.
This is one of my favorite hikes. Easy grade through beautiful forests. There are numerous waterfalls along the trail.
I first went up the trail in late May, 2004. There was snow on a good part of the trail. Turned back halfway up the switchbacks to the saddle as I was wearing tennis shoes, which naturally offered no traction at all on the steep snow.
Went back in July, 2005 for a snow-free hike to the top.

TrainingI ran this trail twice while training for the Bridger Ridge Run. I've been up there many times, hiking, climbing ice, biking.
