Here's a view of the southernmost ("Nameless") half of Arizona's Twin Buttes,
taken from the Templeton Trail on the opposite side of Sedona, Arizona.
The west side of "
Nameless Twin Butte" is made up of extremely oxidized sandstone, and its west-facing escarpment is instrumental in
capturing the fading rays of the sun.
I don't know if anybody's ever climbed this one. You can see it from State Route 179, rising above the desert woodlands on the southern edge of Sedona.
