Hoodoo You Think You Are?
This is too short to be called a hoodoo,
so it must be a 'hoodoo rock.' I found this
hoodoo rock east of Payson, Arizona.
Hoodoo you think holds the monopoly on
hoodoos?? It has to be Bryce Canyon NP
in Utah. That place really rocks, and hoodoo
you think you are to say it doesn't??
Some say in the end, we are all headed for
hoodoo heaven. The elements of time are
chipping away at us; breaking us down into
nothing more but grains of sand.
Yes, that's the west face of cypress-covered Cypress Hill (5,263') in the background, and the prominent saddle between Cypress Hill
and its neighbor Cypress Mountain is to the
far right in this picture.
Hoodoo rock has been through a lot. If you
ever happen to venture out to see it, don't
breath too hard or it might fall down.
And, watch out for that rattlesnake you
just jumped over. It probably has some
young ones living in a den in this rocky
paradise east of Payson, Arizona.
