' Quothe the Raven '

"I am the icon sublime; The guide of the voyage clandestine. I ... sing the verses bewailed! I, torch of the radiant way ... Once you step out, Hearken the STROKES of my WINGS ..." Raven's nest in the arms of an old growth Saguaro cacti near Roosevelt Lake, Arizona : Nest: A large, bulky nest of sticks and bones with a deep cup lined with grasses, hair, and shreds of bark was built in the arms of this Saguaro cactus by ravens' over the years.

Never seen that before.

I was hoping to see ravens swirling in the winds above Owens Peak last week, but had to settle for seeing their eggs and trinkets at the Eastern California Museum. Norman Clyde's birthday party is there today, but that's far away now; I'll go find some vultures soaring over Coyote Lake.

Re: Never seen that before.

Hopefully, you won't see coyotes flying over
Vulture Lake.

They don't make them like Norman anymore.
