If it weren't for that recent avalanche debris below that steep face...

This is a zoomed in photo of Punta d'Arbola, seen from the NNE. In different conditions that face would be tempting! It's not really high, I estimate that it's about 200 m. Click for a larger version, and if you look closely, you'll see that there is a trail much more to the left. The day after I took this picture, I would be up there. I took a slightly different route, going up the glacier alongside the rocky ridge on the far left until I got on the trail higher up. 26 June 2013.
