Brink Road Shelter

Brink Road Shelter

Brink Road Shelter, a popular rest stop for A.T. thru-hikers. Sleeps five inside on a wooden floor. No fires allowed. One night stay only. It is 900 feet from the trail. An open priy (no walls) is to the left about 75 feet, and water is about 350 ft to the left on a blue blazed trail. The shelter has a bear box for food. The person who takes care of this shelter does a good job, he has provided some books and mags for hikers to read and there is a candle to keep the bugs out. The next shelter to the north is Gren Anderson Shelter (6.7 miles) the next shelter to the south is Kirkridge Shelter. in P.A. (31.1 miles)

Good info.

That's a long haul south between shelters! I didn't realize there was such a stretch on the AT with no shelter.
