San Rafael Knob from the Northwest

Looking at the San Rafael Knob from the northwest off the 4WD trail, distance is a little less than a mile away. The route up the knob starts at a ridge which is mid left on the Knob where the Juniper trees are seen. The route follows a faint trail which crosses to the right of this picture and up to about the middle of the Knob where the Junipers meet the sandstone wall. From here traverse left to the notch seen about half way up the ridge to the left. You then traverse around the other side, see route description for more information.
