Stream Crossing

Rose River is usually swift and deep and can be difficult/dangerous to cross. Look for this log near the trailhead if you are heading for Buzzard Rocks or Climbing Rose Falls. It is usually slick, so exercise caution, but it beats braving the waters most of the time. Shenandoah National Park, VA-- November 2009

The fun starts on the other side.

The log was still there on 12-22-20, but I found a reasonably safe crossing point not far upstream. The water didn't exceed knee level as I waded across.
