In Echo Canyon

In Echo Canyon

Echo Canyon to Griffith is more known as a winter route, but we decided to try it in summertime. It actually turned out to be quite enjoyable. The pretty spot with high concentration of vivid pink fireweed flowers and flowing spring was a bit of a side trip, but well worth it. It was a great place to hang out with all the hummingbirds that were in that area. Enjoy my whole slideshow of this day: Griffith Peak via Echo Canyon and Northeast Face Spring Mountains, Nevada. July 2007.

Love the Hot PINK!

Anya..I LOVE this one! The Fireweed there is really gorgeous. It is one of my favorite's. We currently have it in full bloom on our property..it's so pretty and I love getting up each morning and looking out and seeing it! I wish it would bloom longer here..so I have been enjoying it while it is in bloom!
I love the splash of color in the Aqua shirt with the pink Fireweed and the natural other colors.
So beautiful
Thank you :)

Re: Love the Hot PINK!

Thank you :) Fireweed is rare in the Spring Mountains. This is the only large concentration of it that I know of. There is a little bit in other avalanche chutes, but they are just singular flowers here and there, not a spectacular display like this one.
