All right, Planica valley is known to the world by its ski flying devices. The biggest monster now lost the world record (to Vickersund, Norway), but still allows skiers to fly over 251 m. Towards the valley end, Jalovec is the figure, catching all eyes. Its shape is in the coat of arms of Slovenian Mountaineering Association. But the valley end is also the trailheads for many other great tours - difficult hiking and climbing: Sleme, Mojstrovke, Travnik, Šite, Jalovec, Kotovo sedlo ski tour, Kotova šica, Vevnica, Strug, Ponce chain. It reminds somehow the Valnontey, near Cogne in Gran Paradiso group.

Hm? I was on Gran Paradiso, from Pont. I don't know Cogne, but I guess those mountains are not of limestone.
