In spite of the fact that...

In spite of the fact that this is a very active volcano, the slopes of Arenal are rich in wildlife. This is a coati that was viewed on the east slopes and from an eruption viewing platform along the trail. Don't ask me what a coati is. It's sort of a cross between a big overgrown hamster and a pig. Or is it a bear and a racoon? Maybe it's more like a........
