Glad I saw these pix today. I pulled back the topo and saw Jacks Narrows Looks like the Juanita River is around 520 to 540 feet above sea level. Must be a cool gorge in Jacks Mtn. at the water gap.
It is a very cool gorge and very steep for PA. Lots of fun to be had on this mountain so if you're in the area it's a must do. Thanks for your vote and nice comments!

You have some great trip reports...I was born in Bellefonte...my father graduated from Penn State...huge Paterno fan of course...Cheers!
I am for PA and have studied the mountains quite a bit, Jack's Mountain form the flat's by Mount Union High School's playing fields (520 ft.)to the top off the 2321 foot summit is the highest elevation gain in the state. I always judge a mountain on its true size from bottom to top... By the way, North Mountain in Sullivan county close to Muncy Valley (Although higher in elevation at 2600 ft.) is a close second
