Winter hike
This is a beautiful hiking trail in the wintertime. After several days of freezing temps, the falls and cliffs become lined with icicles and columns. We didn't do any climbing, but met a couple parties that were. Definitely worth the 2.5 hour drive from Imperial, MO. But beware the road conditions on the last couple miles to the TH in winter, it looks like this gravel road is not maintained. So if it ices, it is slick! Especially where the trees shade the road.
I've climbed at Jackson Falls and Drapers Bluff. Sure beats "pulling plastic" in an abandoned concrete grain silo. We always celebrated after a successful day of climbing dining on 2" thick pork chops at Triple "E" Bar-B-Q.

This is an amazing location only about 2 hours from St. Louis with a great variety of climbs and beautiful scenery. I would definitely recommend the stop if you're withing driving distance for a day trip or a weekend.

great place for sport climbing and some good hiking. Didn't have a guide book so I have no idea the names of the routes and the ones I did find out I forgot.
