In 1988 I was in MT for the Yellowstone fires, I was in New Mexico when the Park Service nearly burned down Los Alamos. Fire, flood, heavy snowfall, little snowfall, these are the forces(and others)working on the landscape. I do not plan on trying to keep up on these constantly changing conditions, that is what land management agenciy web sites are for, it's called planning.

FiresThere ought to be some mention on the page about the massive fires that hit the Jemez last year. The landscape has been altered substantially.
