Köves-tető

Köves-tető

The hillside of the summit called Köves-tető. Not many people know that there are some volcanic cones in the Mecsek mountain - the big majority of the mountain is built of sedimental rocks. But it is a nice example of the volcanic activity 120 millions years ago. What is also unique in this hill: the rocks are made from Fonolit. This volcanic rock can be found in Hungary only on this single hill
