I saw everest as the sun came up, really incredible!
Nice trecking from Lukla
Part of a long scenic trek up to Everest Base Camp, 34 miles the way the crow flies but it felt more like 100miles! Took us 9 days and acclimating to 18,000'+ was not really a problem. Day of summit we went from Gorak Shep tea house (about 2 hours) and had an awesome view of the sunrise over Mt Everest.
day trip from Lobuche, very good and clear weather
Beautiful day, great views. But not enough acclimatization - another 5 days ago we were in Kathmandu.
wish i got up for the sunrise but really nice all the same.
Summated with a bunch of happy clients. Took plenty of photos, enjoyed the views and chatted with the little Angel who is placed up there by the organization "United Hope".
Amazing views of the Everest group and Pumori.
Unbelievable 360 degree views of the mountains here. A highlight on what was a pretty fantastic trek in many respects.
We climbed from the Pumori base camp side, which turned out to be quite a bit of a scramble over big rocks, some of which were not too stable. Then we strolled down the normal route which is a beautiful path in the meadows with stunning views all the way.
From Gorak Shep 5.140m and down to Pheriche 4.240m
Nice view of the Everest but the area on top is tiny and rapidly gets crowded with tourists that have no respect for the majestic scenery. Overall, liked the peace of Gokyo Ri a lot more.
We walked Gokyo trek crossing Chola pass to everest BC trek. We walked in the morning to Everest Base camp from Gorak Shep and in the afternoon we climbed Kala Pattar with wonderful views.
got there just before the sun broke, had the top to ourselves, spectacular views.
It was quite crowded in Gorak Shep, so we departed early in the morning to get to the top before the crowds. (Because of this I finished dressing en route and put on my gloves five minutes later than should have. Result: slight frostbite in three fingers, which healed in a week, but my hands became more sensitive to cold than before.) Perfect weather, breathtaking views, unforgetable.
(A túra a Baraka elsõ Everest alaptábor túrája volt Nádi Laci nagyszerû vezetésével.)
Hiked up just after dawn from Gorak Shep in an hour. Stunning views -- probably the best I've seen anywhere.
Great panorama, the second peak on our 3 week trip in Nepal.
Day after my failed summit attempt on Lobuche East - run from Lobuche to Gorak Sheep (two hours), climb Kala Pataar - 1,5 hours and back to Lobuche.
My Father Climbed Kala pattar and any peaks in 1982 . . .
I like Climb kala pattar ...
