Kays Creek trail to Thurston Peak
On my return I was treated to colorful displays such as this one. I call this the "boggy meadow" because for a very short stretch there is swamp-like wet terrain along the east side of the trail. In the spring it may be far more pronounced than it was on this early fall day.
