Kezmarsky

I remember well the day I climbed all the peaks seen here, it was 24th August 2001, the most impressive thing about that trip was the view into the abyss of the greatest in Tatras, 900 meter high wall of Maly Kezmarsky Stit, the view of the lake down there and the hut appeared for a moment among the clouds, not to forget !

Kezmarsky

You've done a lot of things, Tomek !
I wanted to ask you by the way, have you been on top of Kominiarski Wierch ? (I suspect that you have despite the regulations ;) )

Re: Kezmarsky

Yes Eric, I've been there in November 2005 after one unsuccessfull attempt in May that year. We climbed the peak (with my friend, HansG, SP member now) by the most impressive of tourist routes there, "Via Zalupa" route, great feeling. What you want to know more ? Incredible wide space on the summit and breathtaking panorama in all directions...we had perfect weather, so... Descent down through Smytnia towards Koscieliska valley was quite strenuous, nice adventure.

Cheers

Re: Kominiarski

I've always been fascinated by unpolular mountain routes, in the Pyrenees, and elsewhere... in Tatras this thing is a bit less easy with offtrails and winter regulations, but I do my best, I've got an UIAA card and made few offtrails routes (baranie, strbsky stit...) As for Kominiarski Wierch I know it is a very protected area, and it is very diffucult (not to say impossible) to find information about the former trails... which is why one of your pictures from the top of this mountain interpelled me ! If you can send me any information about this Via Zalupa (of course, nothing about it in Google...) I'll be glad !
We should also definitely make a trip all together one of these days :)
