Kings Peak with storm clouds overhead seen from the valley below

This picture was taken minutes before a violent thunderstorm unleashed itself while I sought shelter in my little tent. I was camped on an bare "island" in the swamps and had no trees nearby. Lighting was popping all around me and very close. Several strikes hit within 100ft of my tent. It was pretty scary. June 11, 2016 Photographer: Jackson Herring
