I have only seen a marble quarry on the other side (south) of Vinschgau, in Laaser Tal. It was halfway up the mountains. Impressive techniques they are applying there...
I've been trying to see why that gap is there at the end of your panoramas, but I can't figure it out. Either way, it's more of an aestetics issue and the panoramas still do their job. Nice work! Glad I could have a bit of influence on SP!
Is it? I'm a little ashamed about the quality of the pics. But somehow I was having withdrawal symptoms - page creation withdrawal that is. I'm feeling much more relaxed today :-)

Thanks! I only wish the pictures were as good as the reminiscences. It was the first time I saw Ortler - I had been looking for it - but then I realized that the cloud I had been looking at in reality was Ortler's summit. I hadn't expected it that high above...
