Krasavitsa Peak (3764m) and Zelinsky Clacier, Altay

View on ascent to Mechta Glacier. There are a number of peaks in the beautiful Shavla Lakes country which carry enchanted Russian names. Krasavitsa is one of them, meaning Fair-Maiden (or some translate this fairy-taleish word simply as Beauty, as in Beauty and the Beast). February 1985 Chuya-to-Katun' ski crossing of Altay Mountains.
