Great group page Gordan! This area is very beautiful and quite karstified, looks 'oh so' typically Montenegrin :-) Can you tell me with which car did you go and how heavy you were and what is the condition of macadam’s? I'm wondering are they passable for me so it is best to compare. I have Omega caravan which is very long.
I have Fiat Marea which is a low laying car, but I got to Bukumirsko lake by car, and also to area of Sirokar (north of Rikavacko lake). The road is passable, reminds me on Stirovaca-Dabrovi road. It is relatively passable with some areas where water torrents had taken road layers - so count on that you should drive very very slowly on some points or even to "scratch" :-) a bit bottom of your car if you are not too patient! Many of Katuns are now weekend houses especially in Verusa and Mokro so people go there by their cars.
I like the area very much. Ten years ago I saw the picture of the lake in old "Nase planine" magazine, and then hardly waited to arrive to this place, and it really is magnificient and so tranquile. So far away from other crowded places!
Spectacular area, which I haven't heard of so far! Excellently described, nice pictures! And I see that you have plans to write more. It will really be a complete page, but it's already now a 4-stars.

Its probably one of (together with Albania) most remote areas in Europe, thats make it very atttractive.
Thanks again for your suggestions on FAQ. With every new page I put, I have to solve more new problems with HTML, and learn while "walking". Ive tried to put a table but had some problems with it. I need to take more time to learn FAQ and similar topics! But one day.... :-)
Thanks. I also like the area very much. Ten years ago I saw the picture with the lake in an old magazine, and then hardly waited to arrive to this place, and it really is magnificient and so tranquile. Not only it is remote but the literature no it is very scarce.

Untitled CommentThanks for posting. A very unique area. It must be remote if there is not much bus service there. The walking looks excellent.

Yes and the atractivity of the area is its remoteness and tranquility, especially south of Central area close to Albanian border.
