Black Mountain Hike #5 08-09-2009
Black Mountain Hike. 08-09-2009.I located Black Mountain on this hike. The view of Lake Isabella, and surrounding areas is amazing from this vista. I started at Black Mountain Peak, and headed around to the right for about 1/4 mile, and a loss in elevation of about 100 feet. The elevation of the peak is 7428' and the point is 7334'. I was also able to identify the row of peaks on the Greenhorn Summit, and I located Panorama Peak 7773' for the first time above Panorama campground. I did Shirley Peak for the first time on this hike also so I was able to label the Alta Sierra region using pictures taken from Black Mountain Point.
