Kyamuna (5590m) - unclimbed

Kyamuna East Face in the early morning light Kyamuna (Lat 29°56'00" Lon 95°17'21") is located around 50km west of Pome (aka Tramog / Bomi) in the Nyingchi Prefecture of East Tibet. It is unclimbed. Its higher neighbour is unclimbed Peak Dojiza (6145m) , located 18km to the northeast, but the deep Parlung Tsangpo valley separate both peaks. Kyamuna is also situated only 33km to the northeast of Gyalha Peri, but both are separated by the inner Tsangpo gorge: the vertical drop at the confluence of the Brahmaputra and Pe river at Gompo Na is over 5700m (towards Gyalha Peri) and 3000m (towards Kyamuna). Kyamuna has a prominence of 1472m, with a key saddle at Lat 29°49'31" Lon 95°24'42" connecting Kyamuna with its parent mountain further southeast in the Kangri Karpo range, to which it can be ordered.
