When entering the Many Glacier region of Glacier National Park, the visitor is first greeted by the long, slender, aquamarine Sherburne Reservoir. This photograph, taken en route to Snow Moon Basin, was taken in early September; this westernmost extension of the reservoir was quite full with water the vast majority of the summer. Had the pleasure of watching a grizzly and her cub forage along the sandy lake bottom from several hundred feet up the side of a mountain.
