Lazinser Rötelspitze (3037m) and Tschigat (2998m) from Gfallwand (3175m)

These two mountains can both be climed easily from the Halsljoch (2808m), the saddle between them. The Lazinser Rötelspitze is the easier of the two, with a few climbing moves UIAA grade I but mostly easier. There are some steel chains. For Tschigat the climbing doesn't get more difficult than UIAA grade I either, but there is more of it, and the route is more exposed. There is more steel as well. A strenuous hiking trail crosses the Halsljoch. On this side of the saddle, it comes from the left, traversing below the steep slopes of the Lazinser Rötelspitze. On the other side of the saddle, the trail is a bit easier. 16 July 2013.
