North PeakHey guy, I climbed the north peak on the way up because I was in a cloud and it was raining. Visibility was about 50ft so I assumed the HP was uphill from the "trail". When I got to the top and there was no register or BM, and my GPS said I still had .1 mile to go, I knew I wasn't in the right place. Thankfully, the weather cleared a little and I could finally see the summit. Dennis

Re: North PeakI can certainly understand why you would climb the north peak due to the weather conditions you experienced. From the top of Signal, it was hard to tell for sure if the north peak wasn't the same height or close to it so we went over and tagged it.
BTW, one of the guys I was with had been up Signal two weeks prior and he commented that he had seen footprints that been made by someone who had to deal with nasty footing conditions (rain, mud) and I figured that was you. Jay and Roberta climbed it two before you did and look how nice their weather was.

Re: North PeakIt was a muddy mess coming down. The hail didn't help with the footing either. The creek near the summit was running real good and I had to make sure I didn't slide into it or I would have been washed down several hundred feet. I did slide into a cactus that left several hundred souvenirs in my left leg.
