Lessinia architecture

These are ruins of a small chapel above Passo delle Fitanze, Lessinia. I can't stop admiring such simple masterpieces. Look at proportions and the line of arch! And the cute pillars on the side. Those who built it, were able to build also the eternal masterpieces of Verona, Vicenza and other towns below these mountains. February, 2011.

Is that a tree...

growing inside? If so, it is going to eventually destroy the building. As you know, with arch buildings, you can put plenty of pressure from the outside, but it takes vary little pressure from the inside to dislodge the stones.
