Lewis Peak
Contacted Dean who obliged me with the land owners contact information, who in turn obliged me with permission to hike up the road. At around the 8000' mark I took the short cut as shown on the map on this page. Very badly regretted not having brought snowshoes at this point. Some good solid post holing most of the way to the top. There was a lot of snow on top so I did my best to weave in and out of the clutter on top to ensure I hit the highest point. Very unique vantage point from this summit. The views back towards the Cottonwood Ridge and Twin Peaks were something. Utah P2K #57/81.

A mini convention
After receiving permission from the landowner, 5 of us met at the gate and put in a good day of work. It was 14 miles roundtrip and 3600 feet following the route that Eric Willhite provided. Saw 3 big elk near the summit and the hard part of the hike was hiking down into the heat which reached close to 90 degrees. Others in the group were Kadee, Victor Zhou, Brett Hathaway and John Dayton. It was nice to get this one done.
