The direction shown in the overview is definitely the best for traversing the south ridge. There is a significant ridge step traversing from pk. 13,631 to pk. 13,722 not far north of the low point between these two peaks. When I did the traverse it was from north to south and made for a scary downclimb for a bit. The north ridge of pk. 13,722 is an easy walk to the col between it and Thunder Pyramid. The gully leading up to this notch from the west was a nice snow climb when I wandered there years ago, but would likely melt out into loose scree by mid summer.
