Lincoln from Franconia Notch

In 1897 a trail was cut up the central ridge as shown in this photo, directly east to the top of Mount Lincoln. Within a few years it was lost under slash from the heavy logging of the era. Today Lincoln is accessed by the Franconia Ridge Trail which runs north/south over the summit. Pictured in early May, 2006
