Linville Falls has to up there as one of the most popular in North Carolina. Its located off the Blue Ridge Parkway at Milepost 317.4. Several trail lead to half a dozen different viewpoints. To reach this spot take the Plunge Pool Overlook Trail and hang a left where you see a sign to "Linville Gorge." Its a steep hike down but the scene at river level is amazing.
