This picture was provided to me by Carlos Zarate, whom I had used as a guide on this trip. They are called Periquitos in Spanish (parakeets in English).

yep

Parakeets they are, very abundant in that region. They make very good companions for older single folks.

That is why I originaly said Parrolets which are rare!

LOL

Still very cool to see them in the wild!
