Thanks, Alberto! :-) This tree is what the Germans call a Wetterkiefer - a "weather pine" - or a Krüppelkiefer - a "crippled pine". This is the sort of tree you will find nearly everywhere in Saxon Switzerland, and when they are exposed like that, right on top of the sandstone mountains, they look very picturesque.
