Locked Gate of National Park

This is the view from the locked gate when the Observatory Trail meets the Volcano National Park. I hiked this during the government shutdown, so I got a bit of a thrill out of defying the Federal government albeit it takes a lot of work just to get to this point. Do not cross this gate, but take the trail to the right. The junction with the Cabin Trail/Summit Trail is still probably another hour from here.
