Okay...

Think I have a better understanding of
the different ways the rope can be
anchored to the rocks along the pitch.

When I was in 9th grade, a teacher asked
if I had visited Calf Creek Falls near
the town of Escalante. I really need to
go there. The teacher who told me married
another woman who he was sharing his life
with in his retirement years. About six
years ago, both of them died in a very
tragic big rig truck accident near I-80.
I really need to see Calf Creek Falls.

Re: Okay... Calf Creek

That is one that I have not been to either, but would really like to do it. We are in the Staircase all the time but stick to the section closer to Zion.... at least until we have that part all done! The Staircase is almost 2 million acres!

Adding up the numbers...

If you take the entire Colorado
Plateau, which GSENM, Zion, Bryce,
the Escalante and Paria Rivers are
ALL a part of, you come up with a
whopping figure of 130,000 square miles!
Maybe I can drum up a deal with the 'grim
reaper' and BUY some more TIME so I can
visit all these places. : - )))))

That's a lot of land! I hope most of it stays wilderness!
