Lone Hiker atop Madonna Peak

My hiking partner as we wandered up the Long Trail. Here we are atop Madonna Peak and standing at the very top of a ski trail. The picture is looking west. I really like the way the wildflowers in the foreground lead into the view off the mountain. I also like the capture of my partner as he is left there, pondering in his own thoughts. I actually caught him while he was taking in the view and this photo is not posed at all. This was day 22 of 28 on the Long Trail. (July 16, 2007)
