High five attempt-Made 3 of 5  Sucess!

The south ridge is awesome, exposed easy 3rd class scrambling--all time fun! The summit is guarded by 15' of 5th class, maybe 5.6? Felt very exposed (300'+ drop below), especially in running shoes. The down-climb off the summit was a little much for my weak nerves. This shouldn't deter though, as one could still climb within 100' of summit before having to do anything over 4th class. something like 17 hours car to car.

Second stop on the High Five  Sucess!

This peak made its foreboding nature known as a giant rock slide occurred as we made our way down El Capitan. After quickly traversing the recently strewn with rockfall base to get to the South ridge, felt safer, but ended up using ropes to climb the upper crux sections as couldn't seem to find a sub 5th class route. Rapped down and were thankful to be off of this intimidating peak!
