nice historyBob,
Some nice historical shots of the mountain!
We also fondly remember the glissade troughs.
Suggestion - you should consider adding a section for historical (pre-1980 eruption) photos on the mountain page.

Re: Nice shotThanks Corey! Actually, I lost track of those slides a couple or three years ago, and suddenly found them. My old film scanner would not have handled them very well, but the new one I got for Christmas worked quite well with them. I did take a shot from the summit, but haven't scanned it yet because it's not very good. I think there were 12 frames on the roll of film, and I didn't have an extra roll. The camera was borrowed too, as I didn't have my own SLR until two years later! -Bob

Re: Nice shotWhat a great treasure to have experienced St. Helens, and taken those shots when you did. Makes me want to hike more around Rainier just in case.

Re: Nice shotThanks for sharing those Bob. I especially like the one from Mount Adams. The foreground, fog, and sunlight all add something. Corey
