Re: nice photosThanks. I just added the coordinates (42.7478 1.9392). It's east-northeast of Ax-les-Thermes, on the border of the département de l'Aude and the département de l'Ariège.
From Ax-les-Thermes to Rodome over the Col du Pradel and then back to Ax-les-Thermes over the long and steep Port de Pailhères (2001m) makes for a great day cycling in a very quiet corner of the French Pyrenees.

Re: nice photosThat's great !
The Ariège has very few photos apart from those of the peaks on the border, keep posting more !
Did you cycle on the road or mountain bike ?

Re: nice photosNice !
Do you often mountainbike ? In the pyrenees only or elsewhere too ?

Re: nice photosThis is actually a road bike. I only use my mountainbike on dirt tracks like the Canigou and the Parpaillon (two of my all-time favorites).
The Pyrenees are my favorite European mountain range, but I have also cycled a lot in the Cévennes and the French Alps (though actually I think the Alps are too crowded and too touristy; I prefer quieter ranges).

Re: nice photosSounds interesting, seems that you often travel to France. Glad that you quote the Pyrenees as number one.
