Success through tragedyBeautiful trek in. Tragic year on the mountain with many deaths due to the avalanche that wiped out camp 3 and upper camp 2 which I was in. We climbed for the fallen. 1st 8,000m peak without O's.

Cleo Weidlich - ManasluAfter an incredible trekking that lasted 7 days through one of the most beautiful conservation areas of Nepal, I arrived at BC Manaslu in heavy pouring rain. Summitted 12 days later. The Basecamp has the most impressive views of the Samagoan Valley and the village below, very green. The approach by trekking, starting from Kathmandu to BC is not to be missed. I think that this part is the most memorable part of the climb.

Japanese RouteSummitted through the Normal route. Climbed without bottled oxygen and sherpa support although there were other teams on the mountain the same time.

Solo Summit via Japanese RouteSummited Manaslu via Japanese Route after spending two months in base camp waiting for a weather window. Lost all three tents in high camps (crushed under two meters of wind packed snow) and endured 150km/hr winds on the summit push. Reached summit on May 19th at 11am solo.
