Re: Excellent

You and Ellen would love this place, Aaron. The Missions at one time were proposed to be a National Park. The Salish-Kootenai Tribes turned down the proposal (as they did various lucrative logging offers)--they knew what a special area they had, and made the decision to manage it not for usage, but for wilderness. Although not as large in area, the Southern Missions are as rugged as GNP, but are geologically different.

Re: Nice Page

Blake,

McDonald is indeed a great peak, in a great range; if you haven't checked them out, make the drive down from Kalispell and do some climbing! Thanks for the comment....

Re: Nice Page

Thanks Vernon. I have only done one near Cold Lakes, not sure of the name. I want to do some down there though.

Nicely done

As always you have outdone yourself, or at least you've WAY outdone me -- great job! I'll go through my photos when I get home to see if any of them might contribute. Also, I sent some route information to Charlie Winger who's planning to climb it this summer. If any of that is helpful I'll send it to you or post it. -Bob
