Southwest ridge from Jacqueline  Sucess!

Came over from Jacqueline. On the way out I started down the southeast ridge for a bit until I saw a loose gully leading south. Hopped in that and got some scree-surfing in the soft dirt up top. That whole drainage southeast of the peak is great terrain, especially the creek bed down the lower half.

Good, solid peak  Sucess!

Went up the Box the day before, this one the day after. No one around other than some out-of-shape hunters and some mountain goats. The tiny basin between this and Jacqueline is a gorgeous place.

Ridge Traverse  Sucess!

Traversed over from Jacqueline. Good fun on the ridge. No snow anywhere on higher peaks

Great Day  Sucess!

Great fall day out. Took the ridge over from Jacqueline Peak. Ridge line was slow moving but totally do-able.

nice early fall day  Sucess!

not a soul in sight. The road in is rough and probably worth a high clearance vehicle. From the basin between McIntyre and Jacqueline, I headed up a south facing rib to gain the east ridge at about 10800 feet. From there to the summit, there is a little scrambling depending on your route. Overall, this is class 2 with a few class 3 moves on the ridge. Exposure is pretty easy to avoid. Great views of the Pioneers. A fair bit of loose rock to deal with along the way

Traverse  Sucess!

Came over from Point 11020 and up the north ridge. Easy third class most of the way until a 4th class blocky finish up the north ridge. Straight forward descent back to East Fork.

Perfect summit day!  Sucess!

Was able to drive in my Ford Explorer to the end of the road with no problem. Hiked up the west side of McIntyre between McIntyre and Jacqueline staying to my right and angling up to the summit (I did not head for the col between the two peaks). I never had to climb any cliffs and rarely used my hands for scrambling. It took me 5 hours to summit (out of shape). Comming down, I went straite down (was able to glissade on some of the scree). I was unable to avoid some cliffs (dumb move).
Super view of Old Hyndman and the two ponds right below it. Did not see any people or goats.

South Face Snow Climb  Sucess!

Made our way up the valley between McIntyre and Jacqueline, then did a cool snow-climb up the south face of McIntyre. Fantastic views from the summit, and almost no wind. Even saw a couple goats on the way up. Also climbed Jacqueline later in the day. Here’s a trip-report and some photos.

Its a beautiful mountain and some of the most solid granite climbing I've ever seen... Difficult route finding problems though.
