A nice page! I passed through here almost 15 years ago but that was before I had any interest in climbing or peak bagging. Cherry Creek Canyon is already on my lenghty to-do list, when I get there, I'll have to check out Mecur as well.
I've camped there for many years, would love to get more info from you on your hikes. Very, very beautiful area, surprising that it wasn't included in the Yosemite Boundry.
In our scout troop 72 from San bruno we took quite a few summer trips here. Gorgeous. We took horse and back pack trips. Loved your summary.
