Sorry - I thought you all knew already...Yes, this is Salzburg and it's castle, the Festung Hohensalzburg, with the Untersberg rising above it in the background. For at least three days we had fairy-tale winter weather here, and I took this picture from the Kapuzinerberg.

The castle here looks a bit like Edinburgh Castle, those I'm sure it's someplace else. Do tell Eric.

I was there...

a long time ago in the '80s and touring this castle was one of the highlights of my time in Austria.
