Monache Indian Pictographs

These pictographs were painted by Monache Indians using tree sap and natural pigments. They are located on the north bank of The Middle Fork of the Kings River in Tehipite Valley. The designs are the same shape of the surrounding oak tree leaves. Middle Fork of the Kings River, Sequoia/Kings Canyon NP, California, USA. July 1987. Kodachrome 64.
