7-day route, ascending in only 2 days. Great weather. Impressive views.
Went all the way to the north side. Lotsa rain, mud, gorgeous mountain.
The environment on the top of Roraima is unlike anything I've ever experienced. The odd rock formations and unusual plants were mezmorizing. Our group stayed two nights in the cave. I wish we had one more day to hike to the "Labyrinths" section.
It was a 5 day trip and we did it guided b/c you have too. The guide really helps in showing you all the cool spots once you get on top. I've never seen anything like what I saw on the top.
I went with Backpacker Tours in Santa Elena on a six day excursion (Erik was very accommodating and helpful). It rained every day. A lot. Still, it´s a really cool place and the clouds occasionally lifted for amazing views. I went on a three day tour of Angel Falls just before which was definitely worth it.
Rainy season research trek with David Ascanio from Caracas to try to photograph and/or record Roraiman Nightjar (Caprimulgus whitelyi).
It was fun except for the rain.
Like Miguel I confirm the greatness of this mountaintrip. It's such a special environment that it made the long detour from Merida worthwile.
