Monument Peak

Several "weathered" granite boulders lie testiment to the elements on the west side of Momument Peak in central Arizona. The plant on the right is Pointleaf Manzanita. ~ January 31, 2008 ~

Sometimes...

your pictures of this area reminds me the landscapes of Sardegna, sparse vegetation, rocky hills, well but to be sincere, both Sardegna and Arizona have met my eyes only in photos.

Re: Yes,

you are right. It is very sparse, but there's
always ways or methods to survive in the
wilderness. Cities can be comfortable places
to live, but in the wilderness you must WORK
hard for a piece of meat, or to be able to
put BREAD on the table. There are natural
springs or water sources in this wilderness,
and they become the bargaining chips for
the political Nature of Man. It is an
EMPIRE that will someday turn back to sand.

Re: Yes,

that's one of the things that I love of savage environments: every act of yours over there must be measured, every act has a concrete sense, there is nothing you can waist, and often this is not true only for your actions but also for your thoughts.

Re: Yes,

I agree with you completely. But ... I can
not speak for my neighbors.
