This is really nice, Gimpilator. Sometimes one must turn from the sunset to catch the true show! --mark d.

P.S.--Thanks for recommending elsewhere that an image be attached to the Animal Signs album. I appreciate that. :-)

Re: Nice!

Thanks Mark. Your signs gallery was a good idea and deserves more photos.

Re: Wow

A year later, almost to the day, I still haven't seen anything as amazing as the scenery of that evening.

Re: Wow!

Thanks! It was definitely one of the most amazing things I've ever seen in person. Isn't it wonderful what can happen in the mountains?

Beautiful picture!

This is definitely one of the most beautiful pictures I have ever seen. It looks so surreal and ethereal. I love the deep purple of the sky.

Re: Beautiful picture!

Thanks Mark. I consider this one of my real lucky shots. You can't make things like this happen. I was just in the right place at the right time.

Re: the Moon...

Thanks! It was a good thing my camera was already unpacked because the moon was moving fast and it was only visible between the two cloud layers for about a minute.
